For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
This is very difficult statement to understand and accept unless you understand that a Holy and perfect God hates sin. Sinful people cannot inherit eternal life in heaven unless their sins are forgiven by God.
The great news is that God offers every person the free gift forgiveness of their sins as a free gift if they humble themselves and accept and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord. If you have not yet received this most valuable gift of eternal life, I encourage you to pray and seek Jesus. You will find Him if you seek Him.
Lord Jesus, please touch the hearts of those who are seeking You now and bring them to Your cross for forgiveness and healing. May Your peace and joy fill their hearts now as they come to You for pardon of their sins and eternal life in Your Kingdom.
When God sends a message to us through scripture it is never by accident. In Isaiah 55:11, God says that wherever He sends His word it never returns empty, but always achieves the special purpose for which it was sent.
Prayerfully consider the verse that inspired this painting and know that the Mighty God of all the heavens has reached out to touch you this moment.
