Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37
I recently painted this colorful new work after a time of reflecting over this past year. Time seems to be going by so much faster as I get older. I am learning through the perspective of time that just as the seasons come and go, life also ebbs and flows with seasons of joy and sorrow.
When I was younger my goal was to work really hard, earn a pile of money and retire to enjoy the good-life without having to deal with the hassles of this world. Now I see that God has used those hassles to draw me closer to Him. In hindsight, I am so thankful that God didn't let my short-sighted plans come to pass. Had I glided through my life without ever needing to run to the Lord for a rescue, I doubt that I would have ever come to Him.
He knew me before I was even born, and He loves me more than I can ever imagine. How it must hurt Him when I still doubt His presence and faithfulness when the path before me gets dark. Yet I do know through time and experience that He is faithful to shepherd me until He calls me home. Thank you Lord Jesus for using the valleys of my life to reveal your amazing love and power to me.
When God sends a message to us through scripture it is never by accident. In Isaiah 55:11, God says that wherever He sends His word it never returns empty, but always achieves the special purpose for which it was sent. Prayerfully consider the verse that inspired this painting and know that the Mighty God of all the heavens has reached out to touch you this moment.

They are all so beautiful. How do I choose between them all. What a beautiful blessing.
